With the introduction of the InFusion enterprise control system (ECS), the company has accelerated the unification of these and other product capabilities into a common engineering, automation, and application environment. Invensys’ ArchestrA architecture (a fully industrialized software architecture built on .NET and other advanced Microsoft technologies) provides the “glue” for this unification, while other advanced information and integration technologies from Microsoft and SAP enable cost-effective integration with enterprise systems, something that was not previously possible. The InFusionECS is also the first system to enable all existing Invensys or third party plant-floor systems to be integrated into a common application environment.
