The Institute of Technical Education, Singapore, or ITE was established as a post-secondary technical education institution in 1992.
ITE is Singapore’s principal provider of technical education and the principal authority in developing national occupational skills
certification and standards to enhance Singapore’s workforce competitiveness.
ITE has 3 Colleges as follows :
• ITE College Central - Bedok, Bishan, MacPherson, Tampines & Yishun Campuses
• ITE College East
• ITE College West - Ang Mo Kio, Balestier, Bukit Batok, Clementi & Dover Campuses
In July 2010, our existing Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Batok, Clementi, Dover and Bedok campuses will be consolidated into the new and exciting
ITE College West in Choa Chu Kang. ITE College Central will continue to operate with five campuses at Bishan, MacPherson, Tampines,
Yishun and Balestier. By 2013, these five campuses will be consolidated to welcome our third comprehensive College, ITE College Central,
in Ang Mo Kio.

- Full-Time Education to post – secondary students as part of pre-employment training for the Singapore workforce
- Part-Time Education to ITE graduates and other working adults to ensure "career relevance" in a fast-changing workforce
- Industry-based Training to develop a competitive workforce through partnerships with industry
- Development of National-level Certification & Standards in various industry sectors to support the global competitiveness of
the Singapore workforce
- Industry Linkages and International Collaborations to strengthen the relevance of ITE’s Certification and Training System
