Established in 1968, the National Archives of Singapore (NAS) is responsible for the collection and management of the nation's public and private historical records, in various formats, including text, photograph, film, video and audio-tape. Some of these records date back to the 18th century and range from private memoirs to government records.
Aside from collecting and housing historical material, the NAS also facilitates research and promotes public interest in Singapore's heritage through travelling exhibitions, publications (both print and IT) and websites.
